Carry-on Baggage: USA to China.
Each passenger traveling on Hainan Airlines flights between China and USA is permitted to take one piece of baggage and one personal article onboard, which should be in accordance with the following regulations:
Examples of personal articles are handbags, briefcases, notebook computers, cameras, diaper bags and other articles with volume not exceeding 15 x 11 x 6 inches (38 x 28 x 15cm).
- Weight: may not exceed 22 Lbs (10 kg).
- The total length, width and height of each piece of carry-on baggage may not exceed 45 inches (115 cm).
- Carry-on baggage must fit into the overhead bin or under the seat directly in front of each passenger.
- The following articles are also allowed to be carried on board: Necessary assistance devices for passengers (wheelchairs, crutches, etc), one box or bag of duty free items, an overcoat, an umbrella and a reasonable amount of reading material.
Domestic Routes Within China
Each passenger holding a first class ticket may take two carry-on bags. Each passenger holding a business or economy class ticket may take one piece of carry-on baggage.
- The weight of carry-on baggage for each passenger may not exceed 11 lbs. (5kg.), and the volume of each article may not exceed 6x12x17 inches (20x40x55 cm), including wheels, handles and side bags.
Other International Flights
Each passenger holding a first or business class ticket may take two carry-on bags. The total weight of the two pieces may not exceed 22 lbs. (10kg) in weight and each article may not exceed 15 x 11 x 6 inches (38 x 28 x 15 cm) in size.
Each passenger holding an economy class ticket may take one piece of carry-on baggage. The volume of each article may not exceed 6x12x17 inches (20x40x55 cm), including wheels, handles and side bags, with the maximum weight not exceeding 11 lbs. (5 kg). Baggage which exceeds these limits in terms of quantity, weight and volume will be considered excess and must be sent as checked baggage.
The following personal articles are allowed to be carried on board and are not counted in the baggage allowance: an overcoat, cape, or blanket; an umbrella or stick; a pair of binoculars; a camera; a reasonable amount of reading material and/or a cosmetic bag.
